This sculpture was commissioned as a gift of public art to the City of Redondo Beach from the Leadership Redondo Class of 2013 (under the auspices of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation), unveiled on June 13, 2015 as part of the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Redondo Beach Harbor Gateway and Bike Path Improvement Project.

The City of Redondo Beach commemorates special people and events with an annual Coin, used as gifts to visiting dignitaries and VIPs, and at many special events. The 2015 coin features “Love My Bike” to commemorate their new gateway bike path and public art.
